If it's a triangular point hook, I keen up that ol triangle. If it's a round point hook, I keen up that ol cone. I hold the hook in my left hand with the eye pointing up, and I hold the file in my right hand. I draw the file toward the point as I sharpen.

I Use A Hook Sharpener That Is Essentially A Grinder And Hone A Razor Edge On The Edge-they Stick!
