Fishing Flamingo - May 2009

Had the opportunity to fish with Captain Benny (Flamingo Fishing Guide Everglades Fishing Charters - Fishing Flamingo) for the 2nd time this month and took it. We met at the flamingo marina early and were off. At the first location I had some big hits from snook on the topwater, but couldn’t get a good hookup. My buddy Scott had some more fish and tarpon look at his.

I then got a big bite which turned out to be my biggest redfish to date.

We continued to try some different areas and were successful. The highlight was towards the end of the trip when the tide was just right and we were able to find reds and snook in the flats.

I'll def get out there a few more times over the summer...
