Ahoy Eng.Moh!

I just returned from a year in Bahrain. I jigged up a bunch of those groupers while working up off Iraq and one of my buddies said they were Malabar groupers. As far as a kingfish record size.....you'd have to check the exact species but I've seen pictures of a 212 pound kingfish that was taken by spear in SE Asia.

Cheers

To get the record, you have to find the nearest certified scale, or even send a scale to the IGFA in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to get certified. Then you can get an application for a world record, fill it out, including the weight and several pictures of the fish, preferrably when still alive and again on the scale with nobody touching the fish. You'll need to send in a line sample, and have witnesses to the catch, so be sure to fish with some friends. No passing the rod off, either. Whoever sets the hook reels it in. All the rules are on the IGFA website, so i'll stop blabbering. Nice fish, by the way!

What kind of jig you used for grouper ? i never tried jigging honestly

check my friends king fish also in kuwait
catching and measuring .the weight showed 44 kilo grams but seems there is a problem with the reading so they tried another weight reader and it showed 37 kgs
