The Chargers released Chris Chambers today, I would take him over any of the receivers the dolphins have today.... I wonder if they would make a move.

Dave they won no doubt but I think it was charity and pathetic play by the Jets special teams ( as well as pretty lame coaching by Westhoff) more than any thing that the Dolphins did. Did you know that the Phins had about 100 yards of total offense for the game? They will need to pick that up to win the division. I sure hope we play again this year.

I agree we need to tweak some things but It just dont get any better then watching those two teams go at it.Hopefully will get to see another game between them in the playoffs if we both make it.

Richard,
True, the Dolphins gained under 150 yards on offense BUT they had over 200 on kickoff returns plus I believe some 50+ on the fumble return for a TD. I know that's not considered offensive yardage but points, and not yards gained, wins the game. The Jets also could not score on 4 consecutive downs at the end of the game. Was that bad offense or maybe good defense? I don't think either team can contend for a championship but the Jets are no better, if even as good, as the Dolphins and the same can't be said in reverse as the Fins beat the Jets twice in a row. Both teams need some more work before they are going anywhere. Harry Last edited by Harry Klauber; 11-03-2009 at 07:39 AM.. |

Harry they won the game and in the end thats all that counts in the standings. The first game they played, I thought the better team won. This past Sunday I wouldnt say that. We will see what happens thru out the rest of the season. Its been an interesting year in football already.

Richard,
I would agree with your asessment of both games yet as you can see the better team, on paper, does not always win. I would be willing to wager that Ginn NEVER has a day like last Sunday no matter how long he plays pro ball - but he had one Sunday and the Fins won. It's just the way it goes. Harry |
