O, You are right, We should have been kicking the bums out a long time ago. Unfourtunatly i think that the bums outnumber the people that want to make a real difference and better for the people of the country. There are too many dirty hands at hold of what and where $s are spent (earmark). IMO it appears that the crooked trickery and the loss of respect for the country and what it stands for seems to be out of control. Dems and repubs need to get the dirt cleaned up . Maybe issue grades on there service to the people of this country. They grade teachers. Why not grade the decision makers based on the good sence of there decisions?

TE, I guess that shows where the mindset is for many Americans; out of sight out of mind. It is almost painful for me to see the public only concerned with celebrity news and who's on American Idol or Dancing With The Stars; what a bunch of mindless bullshit and dribble. Hollywood keeps trying to shove this type of swill down our throats like were all sheep. I attribute much of this to plain ignorance, (I feel like that guy on that movie "Network" who said "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore").

I think a great "START" to get our government on the right path would be to limit congressional terms to a maximum of two terms, the president can't serve more than eight years so why should members of congress be able too? This would help keep our lawmakers from getting to "cozy" with special interest groups. Additionally, I believe that a constituional amendment needs to be passed to make it illegal for corporations and special interest groups to contribute money to members of congress for their campaigns. Lastly, I cannot stress enough the need for enforcing our immigration laws. Legal immigration is a great thing and is one of the factors that makes this country great, however turning a blind eye to illegal immigration is a thorn that will continue to draw blood from all of us.
