Capt. Ray and customers had a very enjoyable evening on the water last night. The pick started on the slow side but built as the night went on. Some anglers had no problem filling their pails with good size squid, sizes were mixed although there were still some very large squid up to 18 inches in the mix. Squid fishing continues Thurs, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings into June. Please call the office to book a reservation or for any further information. The weather looks great for the weekend. We will have the cod boat and the fluke boat all weekend. We even had some last minute cancellations on the three day trip that leaves tonight so call the office and you maybe able to get onboard.

Capt. Mike and a small group of anglers enjoyed another very good day along the beach today. The day started a little slow but got better and better as the day progressed. Mr. Kim in particular had a very good day catching his limit by noon and nailing the pool with a fine 8lb slab. Leroy from New Haven, CT also had a very good trip nailing six nice keepers up to 4lbs. Mr. Kilsong from New York had six nice keepers as well to 4lbs and was hi hook for the day swinging a total of 26 fish over the rail. Capt. Mike himself put four nice keepers including two around 4lbs in the boat in short order.
Wednesday May 23rd 330pm
Fluke fishing broke wide open along Rhode Island's South County Beaches today! Capt. Ray put anglers into a steady action all day long with nice size fluke. Several limit catches were made today including Pak Yung who swung a total of 34 fish over the rail today, including the 9lb slab which took the pool. Peter Chu also had his limit and swung at least 20 fluke over the rails. Another regular customer from New York had six nice keepers up to 5lbs. Most other anglers had two to five keepers apiece. Keep in mind the keepers this year are 19 inches or greater in length. The majority of the throwbacks today were keepers last year. This is the best showing of larger fluke we have seen in quite some time for so early in the season. The Fluke are chasing big schools of large squid so the standard white bucktails could not be beat today. Pink and Green feathers were also hot today. Anglers also had a couple cocktail bluefish and quite a few jumbo searobins were taken as well today. We are Fluke fishing daily at 8am, the Fluke have taken up serious residence along the beach so now is as good a time as any to come down and get in on some of this great fishing.
