What type of whale is it?

This whale washed up at the very end tip of the cape, Race Point beach to be specific, I was curious if you had any clue what it was?

When did that happen? I don't remember hearing about it. I would guess that the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown would have been on top of it.

Right whale is my guess

. The shorefolk and the indians used too squabble over drift whales in the 1800's. They'd haul all thier gear down to the site and strip her and boil the blubber on the beach. Read a cool book called " Leviathan " about whaling in America in the 1800's. very interesting
