Capt. Phil Dulanie and Mike Zajac took the Rob Connelly and Greg Murray charter out Monday-Tuesday on a turn around and had no time to troll so they went right to the anchor in 550 feet of water. They got the yellowfin going at 11pm and had a great bite right up until the charter quit fishing at 3am. In those 4 hours they put a limit of 24 yellowfin in the boat and released another 4. The yellowfin seemed to prefer sardines and squid either live or dead and most of the bites were on dead sticks down 60-80 feet.
Capts. Justin Nighan and Mark DeBlasio had the Rob Folly/Adam Horton charter out on a turn around charter on Canyon Runner 2 and did have some time to troll but should have just gone right to the chunk as they did nothing trolling. They dropped the anchor and got the yellowfin going by 10pm. This charter was made up of a bunch of offshore fisherman from out east (Rhode Island/Montauk) and these guys stayed up all night long releasing fish once they had 18.5 (a big hammerhead got .5) in the boat. In total they landed 52.5 yellowfin with 34 released. Obviously it did not matter what bait you presented at what depth as they ate everything everywhere.
