Canyon Runner II 8/16-8/17- Overnight Tuna Report

Canyon Runner 2 - Captains Mark DeBlasio and Justin Nighan on the 58’ Canyon Runner 2 started just above the west elbow and worked their way down the west wall where they released a white marlin hooked on a ballyhoo. They worked that area awhile for another white but instead picked 3 nice yellowfin in the 60-80 pound class on the troll. The yellowfin ate our green mini-mamba bars and ballyhoo with green/yellow moldcraft little hookers. Since they trolled the yellowifn there they decided to set up on the drift for the chunk and had their first shot of fish at 10:30pm put 3 nice yellwofin in the boat. Through the night they proceeded to boat another 6 yellowfin adding a total of 9 for the night. The yellwofin ate mostely live squid on dead sticks. With 13 fish in the boat and a tired charter they also did not troll in the morning and came home early.
