Default Old Lyme CT to Race Point..

This weeks fishing report spans from Boston to Old Lyme, CT.

The warm waters slowed things down in the Boston-Cohasset area where “Sea Shell” fished on charters on Friday morning and afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. Working the shoreline around Cohasset ledges was very unproductive sending us to Boston Harbor to fish the deep channel waters around both Boston light and Graves light. Our special Tube and Bucktail rid produced keeper bass on all but 1 trip, but the numbers were lower than usual. This action seemed to pick up yesterday and we hope the slowdown will be gone with the hot weather we had. Soon the Herring will be back out of the rivers and in the harbors again, luring the big Bass back in.

One of our customers took some of our rigs out to Race Point producing 6 keeper Bass up to 40” last weekend. The wind kicked up making the ride home a little bumpy.

Down in Connecticut we fished charters on Monday and Tuesday night where the number of Bass was low but the sizes were good. Monday’s charter guest scored a PR 46” X 40lb. PR Striper and Tuesday we landed a 20lb, 25lb and a 30lb fish... a PR for an other guest. There was a lot of fresh Bass cooked down there this week.

We’ll be out this weekend in the Cohasset area and Race Point on Sunday so check back next week to see how we did. If you have any questions or will like to book a charter please give us a call at 781-801-2500.
