My first Marlin

Hi, I recently caught tageed and released my first Blue Marlin. The fish was 550lb caught aboard the Lucky Ruby G, skippered by Roger Stephens out of Peurto Mogan, Gran Canaria.

How was the fight any details?

The fight was amazing, luckily the fish fought fair. Jumped and horsed when it first hit the lure and at the end of the first run, but then went deep. So it was just a case of keeping on the pressure and hoping the hooks held until it came to the boat. I have a great video of the whole fight, that the skipper took from the flying bridge.

2007 White Marlin Open, caught at Hotdog on Thursday hit a green seawitch on the short right rigger.
