Default Bermuda - 1st Place win for local Florida Team

Some very close friends of mine spent some time in Bermuda fishing 3 of the major Marlin tourneys there this past July. Fishing under the name Team Truschke the crew had some luck on their side this year.

It started off with the World Cup Blue Marlin Open held on July 4th. There is no prize for 2nd place so the crew onboard Queen of Hearts took top honors with a 728# fish. Bumping out the fleet and Team Truschke with their recorded 400# released Blue Marlin in this one day around the world event.

Then there was the Bermuda Big Game Classic with a 2nd place win for Team Truschke. Bringing to the scales a 570#er caught by angler Ray Gannon flying in from Oregon for this event.

Next up for the crew was the Sea Horse Bill Fish Tourney. Taking 1st place honors with this fish weighing in at 685#s caught by angler John Truschke onboard the beautiful 64' Spencer Sea Toy. This is a local team out of Boynton Beach, Florida with crew members John Truschke, Joanne Truschke, Bill Martini and Joan Nickels.

Congrats on a nice showing this year and 1st place win in Bermuda.

Thanks Dicso Lady, Quack and catching. I'm just so thrilled for them and the fact that their story will be featured in Marlin Mag. in the up coming months. I've fish with Johnny and Joanne both here locally, in the Bahamas, Cabo and in the Keys over the years. Really good people! They've put their time in and really deserve this win. It's a really cool thing to see for me.
