Has anyone tried fishing around Bimini in June for marlin? If you stay outside of 12 miles do you still need to stop and check with Bahamian customs? I had been thinking of a Ft. Lauderdale dolphin/sword trip in June, but if I could somehow do a dolphin/marlin/sword trip that would be even better.

That line meanders around depending on where you are. I always thought that that it was a line that splits the difference between Florida and the Bahamas. But that was just a guess since I never saw it in writing anywhere. But looking at a map: East of Hillsboro Inlet the EEZ is about 29 miles out. East of Fort Pierce Inlet the line is about 41 miles out. Jupiter Inlet ~26 miles I don't have a map for PE or Governement cut but I would take a guess it to be about 25 miles out. |
