Default Generally speaking, is marlin fishing better just before or just after the new moon?

Not quite sure. I know in St. Thomas they fish on the full moon. Somebody else may be able to chime in.

Just got off with a buddy who ran a boat down there for a season. He said doesnt really matter, just show up between December and April and you will catch fish.

We have a charter boat in Costa Rica and generally down here it is after the moon full or new. Guat. isn't that well known for marlin fishing though, more sails!

maybe just coincidence, but i released a nice black(450#) yesterday, june 30, full moon, and last july's full moon was on the 11th and i released a smaller blue on that full moon...let's see what i can do next july.
