ltrn. i am just a couple yrs older than u.I have fished these waters since i was a small boy.My father is a huge marlin fisherman.He fishes all the bbc and now the bxrl.I have caught some blues off miami.There is no way u raise 1 blue everytime u try.That is impossible anywhere in the world!Money has nothing to do with it.I have herd many stories about u from some friends that have met ou and talked to u.I met u in the tackle shop one day,my friend dave works with u.Like bullfighter said we will put up 25-1 odd that u will not raise a blue.And if u do,ill give u 100 to 1 that u wont do it 2 days in a row!!!!!!I really say your talking bull shit!and until u prove us wrong,and show some pics,i woul stop making all these comments.

$$$$$ does not = talent. I have fished with many wealthy people and they couldn't catch a fish in a Fish Bowl. The post had nothing to due with who has more $$. It was stating a very real sitiuation that you will NEVER RAISE A BLUE MARLIN ON EVER TRIP OFFSHORE OF SOUTH FLORIDA. You work close to the charter fleet at Bahia Mar, go ask one of the charter captains how often they raise Blue Marlin. You'll have your answer then Mr. Talent.

Bullfighter by the way the bet with LTRN that you want to take him up on would only allows him to troll for 1 1/2-2 hours max. Which is approximately the amount of time it would take to troll out to the sword grounds. Not an all day, 2 day or month long trolling marathon. I also want in on that bet

3 things i have to say;
Chum and J.p; i have pictures of th one ive caught (yea thats rite just one), like i said i raise em, not catch. I have no problem showing you the pics, i just cantget them on the computer.
Slasher- I usually trol from 3 pm or so, until dark around 7-730, which is 4 + hours. And i know most the people down at the docks, i know what they do. And just to let you know... they usually pull planners and spoons over the reef. Not go off shore 7+ miles were the blues are.
And third to yawl that keep bitching, what wrong?jelous? or just your time of month? If you havent noticed, over 800 times this topics been viewed, and yawl the only people to bitch... Whats wrong here? Oviously you all have nothing better to do than bitch.

LTRN, last post for me on this subject. Anytime, Anywhere (from Boca to Port Everglades) at 15 to 1 (You choose the multiple and the commodity) I would love to target a Blue Marlin and raise one. Had one come up in Key Largo a couple years ago but thats it for Bullfighter. Happy to leave at 3:00 PM and troll from 7 miles to 30 miles out, what ever you instruct. Swording the same night is your choice. So that's it, you let me know. :?:

Jealous, Not!!!! If I raised a Blue Marlin everytime I went offshore and only caught one. I would say I'm a pretty Chitty Fisherman, Couldn't set a hook, and I have no talent.

Knowing what every person that goes offshore does and how and what they fish for is a Very Bold Statement. You have no clue what most of us do when we go offshore.

I have nothing to prove to you GOOGANS, who have nothing better to do than sit around and bitch because you can ever RAISE a blue. Bullfighter i respect you, you have offered time and again to give me a chance before jumping on the bandwagon. I'll take you up on it like ive said before no problem. Relax LTD, I think they are just messin with ya. If you can raise a blue, that is great. I think you might be able to if you troll long enough... We had a nice pocket a couple months back when there were atleast 4-5 caught that I heard of.
