Make that $25 to 1 because i don't think will lose that bet to LTR. Put up or shutup once and for all. Lets leave the dock early and give them plenty of time to raise one.

The boat you are on and the wash that it produces has alot to do with raising marlin. Believe it or not some boats even have certian little sounds they make that atract fish.
We mainly marlin fish here and sword fish at nite while we are out. And i can honestly say we have caught blue and white marlin everytime we were on the 42' silverton convertable. But everytime we fished the 55' gilman using the same tackle we caught nothing. I truly believe that its the boat. And until we catch one on a viking we will keep the silverton.

i don see why you think im full of shyt, i was just trying to helpout people to get them to catch Blues. Reallost raises on hell of a point. The boats "harmonics" has alot to do with raising fish.

LTRN,
Again, I hope its true, just don't think so, We fish a 31' Contender CC, no idea what kind of "harmonics" it has but it sure is fishable. So we stand at 15 to 1, (beer, boat washes, squid, $ whatever), multiple to be decided with only the need to RAISE a Blue Marlin as the bet. Doesn't even have to be a hook-up.
Let us know :?:

In my honest opinion the boat realy does raise the marlin. Tell me of all the times you have caught marlin how many were caught on a boat with outboards. You dont catch as many with outboars because the exaust comes out the prop causing the water to be more cloudy. The Silverton i fish off has the exast come out the side and out of the water. The wash behind the boat is clean and we catch alot of fish.
Leaving tomorow for a 3 day trip will let you know how we do when i return. Also if someone can tell me how to post pics on here ill be glad to post a few of the fish we caught
So far we have only brought back one sword to the dock and that was our first one. The second one we caught was huge and after a 2 and half hour fight was lost right by the boat when it was missed with the flying gaff and the hook pulled. Was a huge beautiful fish but an even bigger heartbreak to see it swim off after all the fight it was.

lets see the last 2 marlin i raised were on the same day on my 29cc with outboards. We caught 13 last yr in the bahamas over 7 months.I did not make it over this yr much.My dad fishes his hatty when its real rough, but he and his captains/mates catch just as many on his 34 with outboards.

I have been reading this post since the beginning and I must say LTRN, " That I am going to break out the chest waders, because it is getting really deep in BULLCHIT here." I have been fishing out off of South Florida for over 30 years and in that time I have seen/or heard of a very small # of Blue Marlin caught off of South Florida. I know that there are Blue Marlin off of here. I have been Trolling for them before you were an itch between your fathers legs, and I haven't caught one off the coast here. I have caught plenty of Big Blue Marlin and White Marlin in the canyons of the northeast. Sept 7th/8th 2001 on a 56 hour cayon charter I was working we caught a 598 #'er (weighed, fish died during the battle) and a 400#'er (estimated release) and 13 out of 23 white marlin bites (all released). I have also caught Multiple Blue, White, Black and Stripped Marlin and Sailfish in one day. I travelled very far and spent $$$ to fish in exotic far away location to do just that and I knew that it was possible to do it.

I am calling a spade a spade. Plain and simply put you are FULL OF CHIT. You have guys on this forum that fish 6-20 times a month compared to your 6 X's a year and most of them haven't raise a Blue yet and quite alot of them troll out there or head out there early to drag baits before they set up to Swordfish. Again they don't raise a Blue Marlin on every trip. O'yeah thanks for the advise you posted to drag a big noisy lure out there as well as naked ballyhoo and that is the trick to raise a fish every time, gee I must have never tried that anywhere in the world .

So if you want to tell Stories that you hear in the B&T shop that's fine, but 6 sword trips in a year doen't make you a guru on this forum. Read, post and enjoy the forum. This forum has no place for googans or trolls that want to stir up trouble because they are immature and just went through puberty.
