When i returned home from work yesterday, i say a package from the Billfish Foundation. I quickly opened it and to my surprise, there was a certificate for a recapture of one of the spearfish that i tagged in hawaii when i was there to finish my Royal Slam. I tagged the fish when he was about 30 pounds, and when he was recaptured, about a year later, he weighed 44 pounds and was caught 2/3 of the way to Japan, out in the middle of nowhere. He was caught by a longliner. Sad way for the fish to go, but hopefully this helps the Billfish foundation out and possibly help ban longliners.
