Default St Thomas Blue Marlin Tournament

35 boats released 159 blue marlin in the Boy Scout tournament. Top boat was Revenge with 12 blue marlin releases. Not as good as 207 releases in 2007 but still great marlin fishing.

4 days of fishing. All boats fish IGFA 50 lb. tournament line. All fish released...can't boat one. Observers on all boats.Circle Hooks mandatory for bait but J hooks ok for lures.

Wow! Circle Hooks on those baits! that's good for the future of the fish for sure. Back when I fished there in 1985 shit! I'm getting old we use to put two big ass! Mustad in those mackerals and hirt those fish bad. I wish I could fish St.Thomas again one day. Nice to now the Blues are still there congrats to all the Captains anglers and crew without them it would never be possible.

DL,

Nice work to those guys! Good to hear about the Circles - I love the initiative some tournaments are taking for conservation!
