Default St. Thomas July Marlin Report

July moon marlin fishing started slow then got HOT. July Open Tournament had 34 blues and 1 white released for 18 boats in 3 days. A bit slow for St Thomas but better than anywhere else..Gulf Rascal with Capt Billy Borer won.Fishing got hot after the tournament with BIG fish. One boat released 1 estimated at over 1000 lbs after a 8 1/2 hour fight. Another released estimated at over 1200 Lbs ! Couple of boats released 5 in a day. Most boats with 3-8 bites a day and about everyone seeing marlin 400-600. A couple released around 700. Great fishing.
Capt Butch Cox on Prime Time, a beautiful 58' Paul Mann Custom boat from Oregon Inlet with Capt VJ Bell in the pit has charter days available this summer in the lovely Virgin Islands.Butch cell is 772-285-7168.
