im just starting to get interested in marlin fishing in the local bahamas and posssibily off here . on my last trip me and my buddy were screwing around and trolling live bonitas in about 150 ft of water off the stink hole and had something very large destroy the bonita and almost my boss magnums clicker . i know one person that makes custom marlin lures for the local bahamas but id like to get a few different opinons .

i think moldcrafts offer the best bang for the buck. the wide range in the Sr. size and the Bobby Brown's are my favorites. Joy yee's SP's are also very good in the local waters.

Black Bart lures are AMAZING lures.....they are more expensive but worth every penny when that blue or white pops up in the spread. We too have also had great success with the Moldcraft WideRange, black with pink insert trolled in the mousetrap position.

Ya they def. do the job!!! I was trolling offshore of key largo yesterday and we were looking for a blue so we trolled larger lures and found him late in the day. He came up and hit a black bart Super Pro Jet.(blue/white) He wasnt huge but 100-115lbs i'd guess....it was great for my buddies first marlin!
