Default SE Florida Blue Marlin

Fishing out of Stuart, I've been looking for some small blues. I know one charter captain caught 4 or 5 small blue out PBI this winter but I was wondering if it's possible to targets them year around. Is there enough of them around here in the summer to target them???

Any info is greatly appreciated...

When folks used to fish for them a bit more regularly, quite a few blues were released each year off the Palm Beaches during the spring and summer months. The main bite usually started around the first full moon in late April or May when the little tunny move into this area. The most successful method involved slow trolling live little tunny just offshore of the Jupiter Ledge and the tunny schools; the bite usually seemed to be best on an outgoing tide. Elly Brown on the Do Stay (37' Merritt) used to target the blues and did quite well, including releasing at least one fish in the 500 lb. range. The only problem is that sharks and barracuda are more plentiful than the blues, and like little tunny just as much as the blues do.
