Here's a bit of a lackluster report on amazing fishing. This is second-hand, so I lack all of the details, but here goes.
Two weeks ago my former captain and one of his friends flew to Cabo San Lucas for a week to relax and fish. They fished two days, back-to-back for striped marlin. They were fishing with 30W's, pitching live baits to schooling stripes that had a wad of bait herded up. Surely they weren't the only boat in on the action, but here are the numbers from just their boat. Day 1: 10 stripes landed. Day 2: 23 stripes landed!!! Smallest fish were around 75 lbs, most of the fish were said to be around the 125-175 mark, and the big daddies were around 225. That's just freaking phenomenal. I think I'll have to get in on that trip next year!!!
