Guys, I've converted out of Wahoo fishing and into swording, but this rod is also good for swording and I'll tell you why. If you like to fight swords out of a rod holder, this rod is for you. It's main purpose is to drag hardware very fast so it has a lot of power and high quality components and the upmost quality control by Chaos. It has a swivel tip so swordfish rodholder fighting couldn't be easier. The long bent butt is also another great addition for doing this. The rod can also double as your high speed wahoo trolling rod. The wraps were custom wrapped by Chaos and are a 'wasabi' or seafoam green...the rod looks awesome and is one-of-a-kind. It's in absolute pristine condition with the long bent butt in 100% shape and one scratch on the rod. I've only used it once so I will classify it as like-new. It's an absolute beauty.
Asking $350obo but it's fairly firm. It is $475 new with the custom wrapping and the long bent butt that I added. Need to move this rod for a new swordfish rod so make this my loss and your gain. Will post pictures soon. I'm in Ft. Lauderdale and would prefer to have it picked up or I can deliver all the way up to Delray or as far south as Miami, we can work it out. Edit: I've sold the short butt, but the long butt on it sells with the rod. |

Scott,
It has stainless stuart guides that need to accomodate the wire line. The butt is a long curved butt (the longer of the two sizes). The rod retails at 350 new, add $25 in custom wraps, and it also came with a Stuart short curved butt. However, I added the Stuart long bent butt on it (black and gold) and that cost me over $100 just for the butt. So, it basically cost me $475 total to complete this rod. I have slashed the ask price to $350. I don't fish wind-ons however I use 250lb. leader for my squids (I assume your wind-on is around that lb. test?) and I just slid the 250lb. mono through the guides and there is PLENTY of space for that mono to go through. It slides through really nice so the guides definitely aren't an issue for your windons. They're very big to accomodate big time line. |
