Default Bait Tanks

I wanted to get some advice and see what you guys think. I live in a back canal in pompano beach and I want to keep live bait at my home. I was thinking of a tank on my dock with a pump. Do you think this will work? Anybody try this?

Thanks

Depends on several factors:

What type of bait are you trying to keep?

How long do you want to keep it in the well?

What is your water quality?

If you are too far back in the canal you may get fresh water run off from when they open the dykes, if water quality is poor it probably will not work for greenies, runners or gogs.

Water quality will be the biggest factor.

Lightbulb Water quality

We have a setup inland that works for the heartier baits. it consists of a bilge pump some pvc, and a garbage can. Mullet, pinfish, sandperch, and croakers do well.......Bluewater baits are a no go. At tourney time we use a pen and beg borrow or steal a location to tie er up at near the inlet w/ plenty o bluewater flow.
