For all those following the mullet run in Southeast Florida, we can discuss it here.
I fished last night and the finger mullet were not THICK by any means, but plenty of schools to have a good night of snook/tarpon fishing. Let's get some eyes out there and update this thread.

I heard the finger mullet were carpeting Boynton inlet a week ago. Haven't heard any update since then.

They are thick in certain areas for sure...
I was in the Fort Lauderdale ICW and the schools were scattered but easy enough to find and catch tarpon....

Great pics.
Boynton Inlet and surrounding canals have thickened up quite a bit this past weekend - also, ventured up to the beach in Delray and schools were cruising south with predators in tow. Should only get better with some more fronts. |

october is usually the run off the beaches.. you can find them in the ICW now..
We had a really good/weird run off the beach this year after that first cold front.... millions of mullet packed the beaches with big tarpon on them. We had a few shots at tarpon well over 100 pounds with numerous snook caught in the the trough..
