Default Pin fish traps in the keys

Does anyone have experience using pin fish traps in the keys? I put one out over the weekend for half a day only to find that someone took it. Thanks for the advice.

I guess I was asking for that, wasn't I.

I thought the buoy would blend in with the other hundreds of traps out there, someone must have watched me throw it over the side.
