Default Miami kingfish report

Did some drifiting this morning out of haulover. Zero current but the light breeze made for a pleasant drift.
Kept 4 kings up to 20 pounds and realeased several bontias.

A pod of porpoise and about 12 frigates came into the area chasing bait and the bite shut off.

went in at 11 and dropped off filets at Florida Smoke House ($2/lb).

Not bad for an end of summer trip

Nice work.

How does the smokehouse work? I heard he keeps half the fish?

The smokehouse is the only way to go imo! I believe if you give him half your catch he will do the other half for free, but otherwise it is only $2/lb.

Usually takes a couple days and your entire catch is smoked.. soo tasty and kingfish is the best smoked.

Ya a friend of mine that has a big smoker at his house decided to give it a good on some swordfish.

We had both smoked kingfish and swordfish at the same time..
