Question kingfish bite

i heard these been a bunch of big kings around, havent been out in a few weeks. wondering how the king or dolphin bite is right now off ft.lauderdale/pompano and what kind of depth the kings been biting in,also whats been working best to catch them. thanks

I haven't caught a kingfish yet but i've heard that they are great fighters...Catching Kingfish

Kings are usually around the reef, 90' - 200'. Try trolling planers with bally or spoons, jigging with smaller avas or chumming while fishing with live bait with and without weight. The stink hole of hillsboro is usually a good spot to start.

That article you posted does not represent a king. The local kings are king mackrel good fight but how much smoked fish dip or gumbo can you eat. They are going nuts on slow trolled gogs
