Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Texas and fish for tarpon along our beachfronts. Looking forward to learning and sharing information with y'all.

hey bro. I'm a tarpon fisherman also. Love the silver kings. I fish both fresh and saltwater for them. usually find the small bait fish in the same area i am fishing and cast them away from the school and do well.

Over here, we only fish beachfronts from July to October. That is the only consistent time period. In a nutshell, we drift or electric troll jigs (with circle hooks) and mirrolures near bait schools. We also cast those same lures at rolling pods. I use only artificials to keep the sharks and jacks off of our baits. Most tarpon fisherman here use 21-25 ft. Boston Whalers and Contenders, which allows us to bay fish the rest of the year.

Where are you at in Texas, Mark? I'm on the south end of Houston and would love to do somefishing for ANYTHING. All of this time on dry land is killing me.
