I will let our mexican member address your question in detail but can add a few points being an ex guide and 20 yrs on the sea here in yucatan area. bottom line is better know your s...t if you are going to do it alone off tulum area. confused seas, bad currents, surprise weather systems and no coast guard or nav aids thru the reef cuts!!
pangas are the trickiest of all small boats to handler - esp in following seas coming in reef cuts...
i dont see an inflatable being a boat to deep drop out of...plus they dont seem to last very long in this environment and are very expensive for what you get.
if you decide to sell let me know as I know someone who is looking for a used 651.

I also have Kristal deep drop 651s that I was going to sell, but if I can hook them up down there and catch queens like that, I'm re-thinking my plan

What do you know about that area
HI FISHENSTICKER:

VERY DIFFICULT TO GET A FLOATABLE, AND THE PANGAS IN TULUM DONT HAVE A FEMALE CONECTOR FOR YOUR KRISTAL, ITS A SHAME CAUSE THERE IS GOOD BOTTOM FOR DEEP DROPPING WAY UP NORTH FROM TULUM ...PUNTAS SOLIMAN IS THE NAME., RIGTH IN FRONT 600 - 650ī ( GOOD YELLOW EYES AND FEW QUEENS ).
I HAVE A PANGA IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN FOR ANYTHING YOU WANT TO DO...AND I HAVE FRIENDS IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR KRISTAL. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED CALL ME.

I have some boats here in Puerto Aventuras and we have been doing some manual dropping but have been looking into a Kristal. Would you be interested in trading some charters for your 651?
