I will let our mexican member address your question in detail but can add a few points being an ex guide and 20 yrs on the sea here in yucatan area. bottom line is better know your s...t if you are going to do it alone off tulum area. confused seas, bad currents, surprise weather systems and no coast guard or nav aids thru the reef cuts!!
pangas are the trickiest of all small boats to handler - esp in following seas coming in reef cuts... i dont see an inflatable being a boat to deep drop out of...plus they dont seem to last very long in this environment and are very expensive for what you get. if you decide to sell let me know as I know someone who is looking for a used 651. |
