Well guys I finally got around to joining up in this forum. I am not one to speak bad about other forums, and it seems like they all go thru changes over the years.

I have found that swordfishing is a whole lot of fun and I really enjoy a lot of aspects of it. There are some guys like Beerman, Headfirst, CaptainMitch and other who have taught me a lot and I have a lot to learn.

I hope to be able to fish with others of you from this forum also.

This was the forum that I first learned how to do this thing, yet I never got around to posting.

Drinks are on me, and they are not virtual, just served on my boat.

All these lurkers coming out of the wood-work and cyber shells. Quack Quack this is all your fault! But I supppose you are out fishing tonight and can't respond to this allegation until well past noon tomorrow.

Welcome TrollAltDelete. I see this is your first post. Very Good. Now where did you say your boat is moored. I hope you are serving the good rum. I'm not begging so at least I can be choosy.

Hey, your story is my story too, (except for just one little detail). Perhaps similar to you, I knew nothing at all about swordfishing just a wee bit over 2 years ago. I read and read on this forum, picking up little nuggets of stuff from all the regular posters, including Capt. Mitch and others (CM - yeah, I knew you keep a log, you said so a long time ago). I haven't learned anything useful from Beerman, yet. Maybe we need to sit over a few Barley pops and do a quick review of Swordfishing 102.

Actully Beerman, I am sure that if you posted something good here, I have learned from you to. I just don't recall the specifics.

Troll.... the only difference between you and me is that as I was learning and putting in some time, I started posting in my own words, everything that made sense to me as I became comfortable with it and continued on and on with a gauntlet of questions, for those well seasoned " Dinosaurs" to offer advice on, if they chose to do so. Even if not, I still kept running with the ball, because the actual fishing part was a superb reinforcement as well.

Just treat 'em nice and somebody will throw you a bone. But I never realized how effective Beer bribery could possibly be until now. Hey, you learn something everyday.

Beerman I have spoken to her and she is ready to fight a 200lbr. Only this time she will use the braid harness and not the shoulder harness.

<<Very Good. Now where did you say your boat is moored. I hope you are serving the good rum. I'm not begging so at least I can be choosy. >>

Boat is in North Palm Beach, 2 miles from the inlet near the earman river.

Good rum is any rum served near the 50.

Nick I am waiting for the time when you get one on my boat. Pepsi's are cold and standing by.

Right now I am watching the weather but if Sat is good, can you make it?

Thank you RT I will take all the credit {blame} for this. I was a lurker myself for a long time. At first I thought what can anybody teach me I have fished for everything and about everywere from Mexico to Canada. I grew up very lucky having a Capt for a father. Started out fishing on head boats in Montauk that my dad ran. Then started doing all types of commercial fishing. Then my dad started running sportboats and we would be in Montauk for the summer and Florida in winter'what a life. In that time I got to fish everywere and catch all the gamefish that swim. I could go on with stories for ever about who I have fished with and what I have done but I was taught not to blow my own horn. Anyway back to my point if I can learn new things on this site then anyone and everyone can. Mike said he would pay me 1 beer for every new member that I get to post. Don't tell Beerman he said he would go broke.
