Sorry to hear that DL....my brother is in prison and I just had to put his Rotty to sleep two weeks ago. One of the hardest things i have ever done, and I have two dogs that are getting up there now. Terrible thing, we'll be thinking about you

Cono Lu, best wishes. I lost one of my labs last year and had to put the other down two months later. It sometimes hurts more than losing people we know. Dogs are great.

Sorry DL... I know what you're feeling. Bro! My best buddy Bubba an African Grey Parrot died last year and the house is lonely during the day. Lost my big ol' dummy Otis in March and my iddy biddy buddy Paco "the Mexican" (chihuahua) is on his last go round now with cardio pulmonary heart disease

It sucks!

DL,
I feel for you too DL... wait a bit and let the memories sink in and then you can find yourself another friend and hopefully he will be another Bud.

Otis was a Dane, Rottie mix. Stood 5'6" on his hinds and weighed 135#. Between him and his yard mate Milo, I felt very well protected at home. The 45 Ruger helps too

This is how thing can work out. Tonight I went on Fl SPrtsman forum and a guy I've talked to before was giving away a Dane pup. I asked for him becuase I love the iddy biddy dogs and the clumsy big dopey dogs. Hopefully and maybe he will fill Otie's tracks. Probably not exactly but quite possibly in his own way.

It looks like I just found a new Bud again.

DL,

We picked up our new Buddy on Sunday afternoon. He is 1 year old and weighs over 110#'s. We renamed him "Mouse" short for Mousketeer, because his marking make him look like he is wearing a Mickey Mouse hat!

Hang in there, Bro!

Default Sorry to hear about your loss...

We just lost our dog Shasta also this week she was on the 'Fresh n Lively' bait boat with me for years and fished with me on other boats. She still fished with us on our 28' Bertram till 2 weeks ago. We only get to borrow them for a while before it's time and they make your life so much more. The hollow feeling will pass and you will be thankfull you had them in your life. all the best to ya and good on ya for careing for yours so much.
