Tuna SW Florida Noob

What's up? I'm a noob from Naples, FL (anyone else in Collier??) and I just started fishing the waters of Florida a couple weeks ago, being as I just moved back down from West Virginia. Did alot of bass fishing up there, so I'm not completely new to fishing. I kind of got sick of bass though, so I'm looking to bring in some salties now. Snook preferably, tarpon would be nice. Glad to be in the forums, looks like a great site!

Fish the dock lights in naples bay at night if you want to catch some snook. Also try wiggins, doctors, and gordons passes. All three locations hold a good amount of fish.

yeah, wiggins was a good place.....caught a few keepers there (though never kept any...parents would flip if I brought a fish home to eat). I've had allot of luck in my neighborhood with snook (surprisingly), but I guess since it backs right up to a river that feeds the gulf i shouldnt be surprised. got a few snappers from beneath the 111th bridge, and a small tarpon. Figure I'll try to meet up with someone who's got a boat now and try to start gettin on the water
