Default Your Best Fish So Far - Let's See 'Em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see your fish pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't have to be monsters or world records. Just the biggest fish of each species you've caught so far. CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Biggest Dolphin So Far: 27.5 pound

Here's another pic of it.

My first Dolphin caught off the Twinvee back in 2002.

My first Warsaw Grouper, 26lbs. It came off the hook about a 100 feet down and we were looking all over for it. Finally, I poked my head over the bow and there it was, floating & bloating between the sponsons.

A 15 lb Snowy Grouper, caught manually, Willi-Style.

Another Snowy Grouper, my biggest ever. Also caught manually, Willi-Style.

A 14 lb 4 oz Mangrove Snapper, which smashed the old club record at Ft Pierce Sportfishing Club.

One of my many Sailfish. This is one of the better ones. That's PKCrazyFish in the background on his 20 Dusky with his son & daughter. They got on the vhf and called us over to the pod of sails they were workin' on. Thanks again Phil!

A nice cobia, 45 lbs. Caught on 20 lb mono on spinning gear. Gaffed it myself too and didn't get bitch-slapped.

An Amberjack, aka Reef Donkey.

One of my bigger Golden Tiles that I've caught so far. It was only 17lbs but it was picture-worthy. I'm told it is huge for the Stuart area.

A friggin' Cutlassfish. I forget what it hit on.

My biggest Mutton ever, a 20 pounder caught at White Sands Ridge in the Bahamas.

My biggest Kingfish ever, a 32 pounder that I caught at my spot, "The Kingfish Numbers", on the FS Stuart Chart.

My first Wahoo, only an 18.5 pounder. My biggest is a 55 pounder caught on a freakin' kingfish rod.

My IGFA All Tackle World Record, a Spinycheek Scorpionfish. I fought it for hours on 80 lb braided.

I'll also be posting the link to my podcast entitled: Granny Knots - Pros & Cons!!!!!!!

Thanks Luis, but I reckon you've caught a lot bigger fish than these puppies.

Luis - this is just my opinion, but I feel that Mangroves are better tasting when they are bigger. Catching the littluns on ultralight tackle all day can be real fun. But I prefer when snappers are bigger because the meat isn't as small-flaked. The flakes almost resemble red grouper in size and texture. of course, the flava is diifferent. Not better than grouper, just different and that's what makes it so good.

nightcrawler - thanks for the compliment on the G-Tile but it's still a baby compared to the Golden Tiles they consistently get Up North off Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. SFC's very own Capt Ron has the IGFA All Tackle World Record at 59 lbs 3 ozs and it was caught off Ocean City, MD(?) 30-45 pounders are common and a few 50 pound class are brought in every year up there (lucky bastards )

I know a couple retired commercial guys and they told me the reason why our Fla Tiles are small in the region from Palm Beach up past Ft Pierce is that the Tile colonies are relatively close to shore and that there is no bottom topography that can snag bottom longline gear. The result is that our Tiles are hammered hard by the commercials and they just can't reach full SLOB size.

Further south, you guys are lucky off the areas from Boca on southwards to Miami. There's a lot of rocky, non-coral bottom structure that hangs up bottom longline gear and so the only commerical pressure is from commercial hook & line guys , who are okay people as far as I'm concerned. It's a sustainable method of fishing. The result you get down there are Tile colonies that have bigger fish on average. My commercial guys say all you need to do is stumble across the right depth and it's GEICO Caveman Time.
