never been. Is there season? When is it and where is the best place to start for a beginer?

I;m not 100% But I think for the most part they are open all year on private land. Some Public land has season just to be out there with a gun etc. Get with Johnny and see if he can hook you up with his buddy who does it. You can also pay around 150.00 and do a chartered hunt where you are pretty much garenteed to shoot a hog.

You can hunt year round on private land.
I recommend Hog Heaven.
The owners are real nice and he can spend time with you.
They also have a nice little lodge there if you want to spend the night.

Good luck, we are planning on heading up north on some private land on weekend to pop one or two.

Hogs are open year round on private land like said above
