Quack,
Drag your bent but 80 up the tree to your stand, rig up a Big Mac on a 18/0 circle hook with some 400# cable leader (for the cutters). Not sure what color light you should use, any suggestions would be welcomed. Hammer the drag to full sunset to keep him from running through the palmetos.
I suggest a full fighting harness with a safety rope around the tree. Set up Nick C in the other tree with the poon and flying gaff.

If the game warden ask's what's up, just say you were spec fishing and this is your "bycatch".

Yeah Ray it is next to a pond instead of a mack I would use a corn cob dipped in molasses.

I am no pro but thanks to my good budy Ed I have leveled a few toms. We hunt the Big Cypress National Park. I have never hunted anywhere else for turkey but everyone tells me this is the hardest place to bag a tom. It is open for all but access is extremely difficult. We usually camp deep in the park and spend several days hunting. Look into the Big Cypress and you will probably find success.
