Default Good weekend

Well I found myself up at the Nick hotel in Orlando this weekend. But my buddy Steve found himself in a treestand or 2. He and ur buddy Lane shot 5 hogs from Sat to Mon night. Steve also shot a nice big turkey with 1 and a half inch spurs and an 11in beard!!!! To top it off on Mon night he shot a nice doe. I can not wait to get out to our lease next weekend!!!! They also saw a few nice 8pts and a monster 10pt as well. The 10pt was in bow range but stepped behind a tree. Then turned and walked away behind the tree!!! I hope he gives me a shot on Sat!!

Default Going to my buddys lease this weekend

Hey Quack Quack,

I am new to this hunting thing two weeks ago I shot my first Boar Hog at my buddys lease. It was very empowering! And alot of fun. I dropped off the head and cape for mounting over in Jupiter. $500 bucks. Oh well I guess I am the new guy. It was a nice 200+ Black hog. Shot him with my AR15 Bushmaster. One shot appros 100 yards right in the spine. You know I am a chiropractor go figure a spine shot.
I was invited out again this Fri-Sun to help him out. He dislocated his shoulder hunting in Wyoming and needs my help opening gates and restocking the various feeders. That is just fine with me. He said maybe we will get a buck this weekend.
Just wanted to share my excitement with someone who also has a passion for the same things.

Good Luck this weekend.
Dr T

Great job Doc congrats!!! Looks like it will make a great mount!! It is nice of you to return the favor by helping your buddy. It is going to be real hot this weekend so keep the fluids going. I am headed out to our lease around 5 today. I will be sitting at a stand between the feeder and that nice cool cypress swamp they like!! Where is your friends lease?

Good luck. I'm tired of the sticks and strings. I'm gonna wait till next weekend when I can make smoke and noise pushing 240 grains of copper clad lead.

Default Response to Quack quack

Yea good weekend at my buddys lease.

It is located off Hwy 98 . I dont want to tell you exactly because he is a pretty private guy. It is approx 5-6000 acres very pristine land. Several persons are on the lease. The camp is nice with private cabins, a bunk house, a main house, skinning shed, freezers etc.. Only a handful of guys are on the lease and they were all hand picked. We were the only ones there. I shot and missed a nice hog Friday evening. Saturday morn early shot a nice +200lb sow. Skinned it by 10am. We serviced all the feeders and I was placed in a tree stand around 5:30pm. Shot another Sow at 6:30 around 80lbs. Skinned it and was in bed by 10am. Sunday I was done killing so went out and took pictures with my video of a bunch of wildlife Hogs, deer, Quails etc.. I also fixed a tree stand and reattached some feeders. Overall a busy but enjoyable weekend. Cant wait to go back again.

No problem on location I know the area. Maybe they will have an open spot for you to join next year. It is so much fun just to be out in camp. I am ready for some cooler weather!!!!! It has been off the charts for this time of year. Fri a front is coming down so the black powder should be burning up some deer!!!
