that is cool Zach. I shot there last year with Kyle. It was awesome, I am looking forward to going back. Were you guys standing in the water with the gators or were you in a boat?
I lost two birds to the gators last year.

That's because they knew you were a yankee Dave.

I didn't tell them. Kyle probably did.
We were standing in the water too. I put my gun down and went to get a bird that fell behind us. kyle said you should bring this and handed me my gun.Sure enough a gator wailed by me about 5 feet a way with my duck.

Yea, I meant on Long Island. we need cold weather to get them going, but there are some birds around.
Not like the STA but that kind of hunting will ruin you if you go to much.

A handful of Black ducks a couple of Malards and a few sea ducks.
Oh, I almost forgot about the pheasant that thought it was hiding in the reeds.

Love those shots of the North country. Get to enjoy the scenery, without freezing my cracker ass off.

Finn was there. He is a work in progress. ![]() No dead birds Eric. I will be better about the pictures on the next couple of hunts. He is doing really well, he jumps out of the blind, swims right to the bird (no matter how far) and licks the bird and comes back, then I have to go get it. He was the same way with the pheasants but he has that down now. We are going to get some weather Sun. Mon. 30 to 40 knots of wind and snow. We will be hunting with another trained dog so it will help him understand what we are looking for. I hope, so I won't have to swim.
