Went pig hunting last weekend

So i bought a new Remington 700, 30-06 and put a Leupold VariX III 3.5-10x40 on it, wrong color, but i bought the scope before i decided to go stainless, oh well.......I know its a bit much for pigs, but wanted an all around rifle and thats what i came up with.

Headfirst and I stopped in Sebastion at the range to sight her in, after a few rounds and my dumb error of turning the screw the wrong way i got her sighted in and put 2 shots in the bull

After that its was off to Mims, just north of Sebastion.

Dinker got a decent one that night, not huge but good eats!!

I didnt see any, and tried in the morning and froze my ass off, and spooked a deer on the way out of the woods.....we were suppose to head home, but stayed to the night hunt and i finally got one a tad smaller than his.....I actually got 2 in one shot, but felt bad cause the other one was pretty small and just int he wrong place.

Just in time for thanksgiving. I'm taking a hind quarter out of the freezer this morning to start the thawing/marinading process for a turkey acompaniment.

Did not see any hogs last weekend but we did find some new spots.Jumped a couple deer on the way in and saw tons of sign but no pork on the pole.
