With the full moon coming up in full swing and a late afternoon incoming tide, I headed out in search of some snook at the end of my line. The conditions seemed perfect and the bait was excited on the surface. It took about 15 minutes to find the sweet spot where a nice 25 incher was laying and ambushed my TTK II. It put up a good fight and even demonstrated some head shaking ariels. Took photos of her and made a quick release, then about five cast later I hung another one, but it managed to jump off. It wasn’t much longer that I had another mid-twenty inch snook on. I landed it and released it also. The bite was short, but I was able to land three and jump two other ones before it got dark. The key to the bite was tidal movement; you got to have a moving tide when targeting snook. Tidal movement mixed with nervous bait on the surface is a sure thing that snook are prowling below.
