We are now back up and ready for the upcoming lump season. After the huricanes fishing will be very welcomed. I moved things to Port Fourchon until April. With the marinas hoping for power by jan. I had to have some firm plans so I decided to run out of Fourchon. Going to the lump from there only adds five miles to the trip. It is open water but the fog should not be a problem. I am now taking bookings for the upcomming lump season. So if you need your tuna fix give us a call. I and all of the other captains that will be fishing need your business badly. Fishing is the one thing which will return some form of normalcy to our lives.

That's a nice video you have on the website Capt Mike.
I'll bet that the Midnight Lump will be underfished this year. It could be a great time to set a new LA yellowfin tuna record. I just got my newest issue of Saltwater Sportsman (Dec). They list the Midnight Lump, Venice, Louisiana as one of the top 20 locations to fish in the world. January through March is listed as prime time. I have enjoyed my best fishing there in November during the mullet run. How far is the run to the Lump from the Port Fourchon area? How does this compare with fishing out of Venice Marina?

The run is only five miles farther. it is open water but the fog issue is not a factor. Which is a very nice thing. Running out in the fog is no fun with four to six guys lives in your hand. The fishing out of La is the best I have ever seen. And I have fished all over the world. I am going fishing for the market in the morning. I am looking for some big mullet eating tuna. I will post the results.

No Fog!!! Wow. That means no lightless duck boats hidden from sight. No trying to find the pass entrance with the spot light.
Good luck on the tuna.
