Default How bout a "Year long" Bahamian fishing permit

Too bad the Bahamians don't offer a "year long fishing permit" to fish thier waters. Offer it online for...say $500 per boat/year. Same fish rules and limits would apply as current permits.
Any boat that reaches dry land must still clear customs and immigration (possibly at a discounted rate.....say $50 less). To me it looks like a free $500 for the Bahamian Gov't.

This would give the Bahamian Gov't extra revenue with the simple chore of processing an online computer form. It also allows the boater to "fish thier way in" and capitalize on thier time on the water. It is a shame to run over the prime fishing water on the way to clear customs and have little or no time to backtrack and fish those waters except on the way home.
Some boaters are not conveniently located in WPB, Jupiter, or Miami where it is a straight shot to West End or Bimini to clear quickly. What about the poor bastard from Melbourne that must all the way to West End or Walkers and cross 150 miles of prime water without dragging a bait.

This would also encourage the border pirates to buy a year long fishing permit to be "safe" from prosecution by the Bahamian Gov't.

It is a simple trade off.....they get the higher permit fee up front...and we get to fish legaly in thier waters...without being required to clear customs and immigration. They would probably get more boater traffic with this rule, as we can maximise our fishing time on the way to our intended destination. If someone wants to get bold and violate the permit fish limit, they can still be prosecuted by the BFM.
Just a thought to pass along.

I Agree 100% a Year Round Permit would be great. Hell who wouldn't pay that
