Default New to the site

Hi guys/gals,

I've been reading through the forums for a few weeks now and thought i had better register ASAP.

This is truely a magnificent site with a heap of useful info and very cluey anglers (but you already knew that )

I am new to gamefishing and deepdropping but well and truley hooked with only a few trips under the belt.

As my profile says, I'm from Australia, so excuse any questions regarding any of the lingo used in some of your posts

Look forward to sharing some of my adventures from downunder

Cheers

AK

Welcome AK,

This is a great site with lots of really good people, (and a few stinkers), but it's all good. You can get alot of information here that you can use in your region....

Hi Willie, I've been out of action for a couple of months cleaning up a new property. The transom on my boat is rotten too and that is this weekends job otherwise dropping the Honda off the back 40 kilometres out would be a bit embarassing.

Heading out to Cato reef 300 miles out for a week end of September chasing Wahoo and dogtooth for a few days and then back a bit chasing Red Emperor. Hope to try some deep spots at Cato if the current allows but it will be tough out of a 14ft tinnie using a rod and a hand held gps. Hope we can find some deep pins on the mothership first. Will post results, hopefully !

Hey Ian .. same here as of yesterday my boat is out of comission also ... working on my transom also .. has a few holes to let the wood dry out and repairs will be started this week , then my boat is going to have some engine work done also giving my boat a new paint job with ALL-Grip ... hope to have it done in a month or so ... now have to hitch rides with other fishing buddies ...as for 14ft boat check out the sword forum ... a guy went out 20miles in a 15 ft alumium boat with a 25hp and caught a 200 # swordfish at night ! looking forward to your reports ...
