Don't know how far you'll be from oregon inlet fishing center on the outer banks of nc but i've been fishing with TRUE GRIT capt hank beasley out of oifc for about 5 years now and always catch alot. yellowfins, dolphins, wahoo and a few bills thrown in for good measure. Send me a pm if you need more info.

I have only fished Wilmington a few times in the winter for giant bluefin tuna, so my knowledge of the local fishery is not good. But if you are looking for a good start, check out Ocean Isle Fishing Center. They have good captains for both inshore and offshore. Ocean Isle Beach Fishing Center: Ocean Isle Beach Charter Fishing in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina
The water has gotten so warm, we have been catching large kings, aj's, sails, dolphin, and big sharks within four miles from the beach only 100 miles north of Wilmington. You certainly shoud be able to get onto something good down there. Ocean Isle is just a few miles from Wilmington. Let me know if you have any further questions. |
