Default 138 lb. swordfish on 8 lb. line Pending IGFA record

Just saw in the february 07 Sportfishing Mag where someone caught a 138 lb. sword on 8 lb. line. The angler was Gary Carter of Deluth, Ga. fishing off north miami. Says he beat the fish in 20 minutes last october. Holy smokes!

I have 30lbs test on my BG60 ... just I dont know if it has enough line on it ... if it is a big fish might get spooled on the first run ... but it works great deep dropping for golden tiles!....

Tuna Did you ever hear the Jurassic story of one that spooled the TLD 130?

And those people did not know that you have a callused left thumb either.

I'm ready to boat one with a spinner. But that would only be Plan B as the backup pitch bait. No sausages neither, just squid: it is cheaper that way.

P.S. - So how did you know that the bite was going to turn on at 11:30 p.m. anyway, without any pre-fishing?
