best lures or live bait to use in the gulf or offshore in gu

didn't get to go last week, but heading down thursday to the panama city mexico beach area, whats the best fish to fish for in the bays? or offshore? , also live bait suggestions or lure suggestions, probably going to do some trolling took some advice from hear and got me a couple decent rods for that.

Boboe knows what's up in that area. Should be able to get into some tarpon,and jacks fishing mullet, dead or alive around the passes. Live shrimp fishfinder style produced flounder, whiting, redfish, ladyfish and asst other small fish last time I fished over there. As far as the trolling goes, if your new at it, pick up some pre rigged ballys and a couple skirts and troll around the color changes, rips, and dropoffs. Drone spoon, and a deep diving plug are two other time tested ways of scaring up a couple fish.
