Default key largo rookie

hi folks. i've been working on going for swordfish.got my tackle all ready, my boat outfitted. i've been studying the forum for a few months now as i've gotten my things in order. i need ia little (a lot ) of help.i bought the swordfish chart for the lower keys but it seems all the good bottom is out of marathon or south of islamorada. anybody out there go swordfishing in the key largo area or is it as it appears on the chart that i have to go south. any help would be greatly appreciated with this question or any other advice you folks can give me. thanks eddie

The biggest Swordfish caught in the tournament held down there a month or so ago was 324# and caught off the 800-1100' dropoff at Careysfort Reef.

I fish the N. Key Largo- Elliot Key area and do very well.

Default Key Largo swords

You dont have to go south if you are located in Key Largo.

There is plenty of good water in the upper keys.

I live there and have done well off ocean reef.
