It is right at the end of winter/early spring here in NZ right now, traditionally rough as guts and COLD out at sea, so there is likely little of note to report on the Broadbill front for a while. Perhaps the most interesting Gamefishing news here of late has been a successful Bluefin Tuna trip down south recently, in which a bunch of guys picked up some Bluefin Tuna to around the 500lb mark I think. One of which was abbreviated by a large, hungry mako. It is good Swordfish territory down there as well, but if the weather up the top of the country is terrible right now, down off fiordland in the South Island it is Terrible with a capital "T"! Still, with anyluck, you should be able to get a few guys posting up here now. Perhaps you should contact Major Tom II, a boat here in NZ, that seems to somewhat specialise in Broadies, perhaps he could give you a better low-down on the broadbill scene in NZ right now.
