Default Bootle bay info?

Planning next trip over to the Islands.Want to stay at west end but old Bahama bay wants an arm and two legs for rooms and dockage for a 26ft boat is $100 a night I checked out Bootle bay's rates and dockage and it was very reasonable.Has any one stayed there before looking for some feed back about it.Any info would help greatly.

Bootle is a great place to stay. Clean rooms and nice restaurant. They are digging for a pool. There is not much else to do there. It's a place to clean your catch and clean the blood off your boat and have some dinner then goto sleep and get up early and go fishing again!

You would goto OBB to clear customs then run about 6 miles south to Bootle. I have the coordinates at home if needed, but probably a search is enough to find them here.

Bring bug spray for night and dusk as the no-see-um's are around there. Also, there are fallen trees in the canal from Wilma. I think you are ok as long as you don't draw more than 5 feet. I was in a 31' Contender and we didn't hit the trees.

I heard a cab ride to and from Lucaya would be around $100 so it's a bit remote for that.

Thanks for the info. Not sure what the group wants to do.I like OBB but I think they are overcharging a bit.I mean that 40ft min for dockage is a joke.350 a night plus 100 for the boat is robbery.
