Default Avet owners becoming Insane?...

I just picked up my reels from Avet after servicing and got a free tour of the factory and what not... These guys are nuts man... I saw the diagram of the Avet 80 and the Avet T-RX 80... The regular 80 will have up to 80 pounds of drag, and the T-RX will have up to 160!!!... I don't know how much I should trust these guys anymore... 160 pounds of drag is totally ridiculous, regarding the fact that most men couldn't pull on a fourth of that pressure... What are they thinking?...

i dont know about you but i weigh 165lbs and if i had something pulling 160lbs of drag i would probably go overboard before it took line.

you got that right.. the average rod holder would rip out also... you'd have to reinforce your rod holders for sure.

Now that I've been thinking about it... This all might just make sense for a commercial fisherman... I guess many of them use the T-RX 50W and just leave the set up in the rod holder and winch the monsters in (bluefin)... Not very sportsmanlike, but if it pays the bills then so be it...
